18-Year-Old Golfer Hits 514-Yard Drive in European Tour, Yanhan Zhou Finishes T2 After Historic Shot
A professional golfer launched a drive 514 yards during a tournament on Saturday, and it wasn't Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau or any other well-known long hitter off the tee.
Instead, it was 18-year-old Yanhan Zhou.
As ESPN and Cameron Jourdan of Golfweek noted, Zhou hit his 514-yard drive during the third round of the Danish Golf Championship on Saturday. While there is no official video of the drive, shot-tracing data shows it went right on the downhill fifth hole and appeared to receive some assistance from the cart path.

Zhou reached the green in two shots and two-putted for the birdie.
This is not the first time a golfer hit a drive of more than 500 yards during tour play, as Louis Oosthuizen did so during the 2013 Ballantine's Championship on the then-European Tour. Still, it is exceedingly rare and a testament to Zhou's power at such a young age.
And that power was on display beyond just the 514-yarder, as he launched a 408-yard drive as well:
Zhou also played well throughout the tournament and finished in a five-way tie for second place at 12-under.
Jeff Winther ended up winning his national tournament at 15-under thanks to an impressive five-under 67 in Sunday's final round.
