Golfer Jessica Bang Dies at Age 18 After Suffering Brain Hemorrhage

Jessica Bang, an 18-year-old professional golfer, died Thursday after suffering a brain hemorrhage.

The WPGA Tour of Australasia issued a statement announcing Bang's death.

Per The Athletic's Leon Imber, Bang suffered the brain hemorrhage earlier this month in Thailand while she was preparing for a tournament.

Bang turned pro late last year and won her first professional tournament in February at the New South Wales Open Regional Qualifying Event.

Imber noted Vale's winning score of 13-under par set a new course record at Moss Vale Golf Club.
