Quarterback: Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

Dart's first NFL go-round was as turbulent as they get, as the injury bug pestered him, his top receiver and his top running back. And yet, he was still a top-10 quarterback as a starter, throwing 15 touchdowns against five interceptions and adding another 487 yards and nine scores on the ground. With Cam Skattebo healthy, Malik Nabers trending toward that and Isaiah Likely joining the fold, Dart could be in line for a true star turn as a sophomore.

Running back: Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders

Jeanty saw a feature back's workload as a rookie (266 carries and 73 targets), but he couldn't quite deliver a feature back's volume production (1,321 scrimmage yards, 10 touchdowns). He didn't have enough help around him, but maybe that should change with Pro Bowler Tyler Linderbaum now leading the offensive line and the quarterback room featuring both No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza and veteran Kirk Cousins.

Wide receiver: Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens

Flowers is pretty well-regarded in the fantasy realm, but there's still another level he can reach. For instance, he has never delivered more than six scores in a season. And he's always had more week-to-week volatility than you'd expect from a fantasy star. Upping his touchdown count and improving his consistency could grant him elite status, and his lack of major competition for targets could help make that happen.

Sleepers

Quarterback: C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

Stroud was an eye-opener as a rookie (4,108 passing yards with 23 touchdowns agaist five interceptions), but he has dropped several tiers since. Why bet on a return to form now? Well, offseason investments in the offensive line and running back David Montgomery should give Stroud more room and time to operate, and he could work wonders with both Nico Collins and the young, ascending pass-catchers around him.

Running back: Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers

Brooks, the 46th pick in 2024, has made just three regular-season appearances while navigating around a pair of ACL surgeries. Now feeling like his explosive old self, he has a real chance to grab complete control of this backfield, which Rico Dowdle vacated this offseason. The best version of Brooks could be Carolina's best ball-carrier and one of Bryce Young's top options in the passig game.

Wide receiver: Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts

Downs' sleeper appeal almost feels too obvious, but someone has to pick the low-hanging fruit, right? He seems to be in line for a huge volume spike following the trade of Michael Pittman Jr., but the Colts have talked about involving Downs more as a downfield option, too. So, he could be a target hog and a relatively steady source of explosive plays, or pretty much exactly what you want a fantasy receiver to be.
