MLB Field of Dreams Game Box Score Stats, Highlights and Top Moments for Phillies vs. Twins

For the first time since 2022, an MLB game was held at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa.

The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Minnesota Twins, 7-1, at the iconic field built for the 1989 movie Field of Dreams.

Both teams rocked unique uniforms for the game, and several players used custom bats.

The father-son element in Field of Dreams prompted players and coaches to reflect on what it means to be with their families at the venue.

The two teams entered the field out of the corn, creating an epic shot before the game got started.

All the pageantry seemingly hyped up Phillies star Kyle Schwarber, and he opened the game up with a leadoff homer.

The Phillies added another run in the top of the first courtesy of an RBI single from Bryson Stott, but the Twins answered with a homer from Luke Keaschall in the bottom of the first.

In the top of the fourth, Schwarber hit his second homer of the night before Bryce Harper drove in another run.

The Phillies' offense wasn't done there, though, as Brandon Marsh also sent one into the cornfield.

Philadelphia's offense showed up in a big way, but starting pitcher Aaron Nola also did a tremendous job keeping Minnesota off the board. He went five innings, picking up a season-high nine strikeouts. He gave up a run in the first but kept the Twins scoreless after that.

The Phillies improved to 65-58 with the win as they remain in second place in the NL East but move into sixth place in the National League standings. The Twins are sitting in third place in the AL Central and are 1.5 games back in the wild-card race after dropping to 60-63.

MLB reportedly plans to return to the Field of Dreams site in 2027, though the teams for that game have not been selected yet.
