Malik Nabers Collides with Giants Coach at Practice, Chad Hall Gets Stitches on Bloody Lip

Andrew PetersAug 13, 2026

A scary collision during the New York Giants' practice on Thursday left a coach with a bloody lip.

Wide receiver Malik Nabers was running an individual drill when he ran into wide receivers coach Chad Hall. Nabers' helmet hit Hall's lip, and it led to him needing stitches.

Still, Hall finished practice and appeared at his media availability.

"Theย Novocaine's wearing offย a little bit," Hall joked, per Art Stapleton of northjersey.com.

Hall, an NFL wide receiver from 2010 to 2014, is in his first year as New York's receivers coach after spending the 2025 season as an assistant quarterbacks coach. He was previously with the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Luckily for the Giants, Nabers wasn't injured on the play. The former first-round pick missed most of the 2025 campaign with a torn ACL but is looking to come back strong and continue the momentum from his standout rookie year.

As for Hall, he'll look to avoid any more freak injuries in practice.
