Watch Olympic Skateboarder Danny Leon Time Trick Perfectly with Total Solar Eclipse in Video
Olympic skateboarder Danny León celebrated Europe's first total eclipse since 1996 with what he called the trick of a lifetime.
León shared a video of himself skateboarding in front of the silhouetted eclipse in Spain in a Wednesday post on his Instagram.
León shared videos on his Instagram story of a team assembling and testing the custom ramp before the total eclipse over Spain.
Videos taken from afar showed León later jumping off a ramp at the precise moment the moon eclipsed the sun.
León previously represented Spain at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he finished ninth in men's park skateboarding, as well as at the 2024 Paris Games.
He could get another shot at an eclipse skateboard trick in his home country next year. The next total solar eclipse will be visible in southern Spain when it takes place Aug. 2, 2027, according to NASA.
