Odell Beckham Jr. Makes Giants' 53-Man Roster, Updated WR Depth Chart After Cutdown Deadline

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has made the New York Giants' 53-man roster, 12 years after he quickly announced his presence to the league with Big Blue and developed into one of the NFL's most electric performers.

Fellow receiver Darius Slayton is also on the 53-man roster, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. Jalin Hyatt has been waived, per Jordan Schultz.

Beckham starred for Big Blue during his first five NFL seasons (2014-2018). He quickly became an household name during his rookie campaign when he caught 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns despite missing the first four games of the season with a hamstring injury.

OBJ also made one of the greatest catches in NFL history that year thanks to a one-handed snag against the Dallas Cowboys.

He was unquestionably a superstar during his time in town while simultaneously serving as one of the game's most explosive players. Fans latched onto him as he quickly became the team's best performer.

It wasn't uncommon to see Beckham take a quick slant to the house, as he most notably did in 2016 to win a game against the Baltimore Ravens and cap a 222-yard, two-touchdown performance.

Stat-wise, Beckham sported a 17-game average of 105 receptions for 1,476 yards and 11 touchdowns over his first six seasons, per Pro Football Reference. He was a three-time Pro Bowler (2014-2016) and made the All-Pro Second Team in 2015 and 2016.

Unfortunately, injuries have significantly impacted his career since 2017, when he suffered a season-ending fractured left ankle. He also suffered ACL tears in Oct. 2020 and Feb. 2022.

Beckham has played for the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins since the Giants traded him to Cleveland in 2019.

He has only seen 82 targets over the last four seasons. Beckham missed 2022 with the torn ACL before faring well for the 2023 Ravens, catching 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games.

He caught on with the 2024 Miami Dolphins but didn't play much and caught just nine passes for 55 yards. Beckham didn't play in 2025 but signed a one-year contract with the Giants in June.

Now OBJ is authoring a tremendous comeback and story as he reunites with his old Ravens head coach in John Harbaugh, now the New York Giants' leader. Fans are undoubtedly thrilled at seeing Beckham back in blue, and we'll see if he can carve out a promising and successful second chapter in New York soon enough. The table is certainly set for him to do so.
