Updated Fantasy Football 2026 Rankings for Top QBs Heading into the Season

There isn't a more important position in the NFL than quarterback.

It can be a bit of a different story in the fantasy football realm.

Sure, there are still monster-producers at the spot, and having an elite clearly has its perks. But fantasy analysts routinely recommend folks wait to take a quarterback, arguing there are bigger stat gaps between the haves and have-nots at other positions.

Some lucky manager will, of course, walk away with the No. 1 quarterback on the board, and if they can do so at a decent price, they can get a valuable leg up on their league mates. If you're inclined to be that manager, then this article is for you, as we'll be laying out our 2026 rankings at quarterback and then spotlighting the top two players on the board.

While volatility is unavoidable in fantasy football, Josh Allen is one of the first to challenge that rule. Year after year, he delivers consistently elite results.

The last time Allen didn't produce a top-two fantasy finish at the position was 2019. His average output over the six seasons since includes 4,156.5 passing yards on 65.8 percent passing with 31.7 touchdowns against 12.2 interceptions, plus another 596.7 yards and 10.3 yards on the ground.

Obviously, his reign will end at some point, but there aren't any logical reasons to believe that point is now. In fact, his passing numbers might perk up due to Buffalo's trade for DJ Moore. Allen's rushing production, meanwhile, seems as steady as it gets following three consecutive double-digit touchdown efforts.

If anything, the gap between Allen and the others might be widening. A lot of fantasy experts will still advise folks to stay away due to opportunity cost, but make no mistake, the manager that drafts Allen is virtually guaranteed to have one of the highest scorers in all of fantasy.

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson's credentials are undeniable. He has twice been crowned as the NFL MVP, and he has earned three first-team All-Pro selections.

As rich as this resume reads, though, Jackson's fantasy outlook appears murkier than you might think. Injuries are always a worry with a quarterback who runs as often as he does, but if his rushing volume decreases—as it did in a big way last season—then it can torpedo his fantasy value.

The Ravens' new regime also adds uncertainty here. This will be Jackson's first season playing for a head coach not named John Harbaugh. Offensive coordinator Declan Doyle replaced Todd Monken this offseason, too.

Change can be a good thing, of course, and Jackson's MVP wins both came under the direction of a new offensive coordinator. Still, things are going to be different. He could spend a lot more time under center, for instance, than he has in the past.

He is good enough to adapt, which is the reason why he still sits second on the quarterback big board. This does, however, perhaps make his projections even cloudier than normal.
