Bryce Harper Gives Injury Update After Move to Right Field Following Luis Arraez Trade to Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper said his recent move to the outfield has somewhat reaggravated the knee soreness that he experienced for a few weeks in July.
"I was not feeling it, but the more I've ramped it up, I've gotten sore," he told reporters on Tuesday. "I think the more I play, I think it'll help meโjust getting in condition more. I feel like I'm in spring training again, trying to get through everything. The more I play, the more my body is accustomed to playing the outfield, I think it'll kind of weasel its way out."

Harper had originally experienced the knee soreness after a slide into second base on July 11, though it eventually diminished until he was shifted into the outfield.
The Phillies, in an effort to inject some life into a floundering offense, added second baseman Luis Arrรกez at the trade deadline. That forced a seismic shift defensively, as second baseman Bryson Stott moved to third, third baseman Alec Bohm moved to first and Harper went from first base to right field, the position he started his MLB career playing.
On Monday, the Phillies used him as the designated hitter.
"Obviously it's bothering me a little bit," Harper said of his knee. "But we'll see. I'll take a DH (day) any time I can get it, but I don't think we're at that point yet."
