Wade Boggs Shares New Photo Months After Announcing Completion of Cancer Treatment

Baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs recently shared a photo of himself enjoying a day of fishing two months after announcing that he was cancer-free.

The 68-year-old Boggs revealed a prostate cancer diagnosis to the public in September 2024.

On May 8, Boggs returned to Fenway Park, where he played for the Boston Red Sox for 11 seasons (1982-1992), for the 125th anniversary of their first-ever home game. Boggs told reporters a checkup a month earlier confirmed he was still cancer-free.

Boggs was a 12-time All-Star and five-time batting champion who hit .328 for his career. The eight-time Silver Slugger also won a pair of Gold Gloves as a third baseman. In addition, he won a World Series with the 1996 New York Yankees.
