Broncos, Seahawks to Wear Throwback Uniforms For NFL Week 6 Matchup in Primetime

The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos are turning back the clock for their Week 6 matchup during the 2026 season.

Denver announced Tuesday both teams will wear throwback uniforms for the showdown at Empower Field at Mile High:

"You asked for it, you got it," the announcement reads, underscoring how much fans appreciate these specific jerseys from both the Broncos and the Seahawks.

The orange Denver ones and blue Seattle ones, especially paired with their respective helmets, are among the most iconic throwbacks in the NFL, and now fans will get the chance to see them both on the field at the same time.

That Thursday night matchup stands out for more than just the uniforms.

Seattle is the reigning champion and the gold standard for the rest of the league to measure itself against until that changes. With Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp and a formidable defense back, it would be anything but surprising if it is once again a serious contender for the Lombardi Trophy.

As for Denver, it reached the AFC Championship Game last season before losing to the New England Patriots. Perhaps it would have been Seattle's opponent in the Super Bowl if Bo Nix didn't get hurt, as the Broncos were forced to face New England with Jarrett Stidham under center.

Denver scored just seven points in the 10-7 loss and surely thought about what could have been if Nix remained healthy.

While fans didn't get to see the Seahawks and Broncos face off in that Super Bowl, they will get the chance to see the matchup with head-turning uniforms during the 2026 campaign.
