NFL teams are knee-deep in training camp and set to open their preseason slates.

Fantasy football rosters should be fully populated in no time.

There is still, however, a little time to polish up on your research with rankings, mock drafts and sleeper predictions. Let's run through all three, then, to help get your fantasy seasons off on the right foot.

Top Sleepers

Quarterback: Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

Last year's No. 1 pick, Ward largely struggled as a rookie. He completed fewer than 60 percent of his passes and managed only 15 touchdown passes (against seven interceptions) in 17 outings.

So, why buy in now? Well, the Titans invested in their offensive ecosystem this offseason, adding multiple pass-catchers (including free agent Wan'Dale Robinson and No. 4 pick Carnell Tate), beefing up the offensive line and bringing in former New York Giants coach Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator. With a better environment, Ward could be poised to really tap into the tools and talents that made him such a high draft pick.

Running back: Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers

Since joining the Panthers as the 46th pick of the 2024 draft, Brooks has been limited to just three games, which were sandwiched in between ACL surgeries. In order to realize his potential, he obviously has to prove he can stay healthy.

If he does that, though, then he has a non-zero chance of wrestling control of this backfield away from Chuba Hubbard. Brooks was a three-down asset in college, tallying 1,425 scrimmage yards and 11 touchdowns during his final go-round at Texas.

Wide receiver: Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers

Nostalgia runs deep with Samuel's return to San Francisco, and that's part of the appeal here. He is well-versed within this offensive system, and he knows how to make an impact within it as both a pass-catcher and a ball-carrier.

That all-purpose versatility could be huge, particularly with the injury questions the 49ers have on both fronts. Christian McCaffrey and Mike Evans aren't getting any younger, Ricky Pearsall isn't playing this season and George Kittle is finding his way back from a torn Achilles. Samuel, who had 1,117 scrimmage yards and 12 scores in 2023, may well wind up working his way into an impact role.

Tight end: Isaiah Likely, New York Giants

An offseason move to New York from the Baltimore Ravens could prime Likely for a breakout effort. The athletic tight end no longer finds himself fighting with Mark Andrews for field time and targets. In fact, it's not entirely clear whom Likely's competition for targets will even be.

Malik Nabers has had two knee surgeries since tearing his ACL in Week 4 of last season, Wan'Dale Robinson is gone and the No. 2 receiver is...undetermined. Throw in Likely's history with head coach John Harbaugh, who is clearly a big fan, and it feels like the stars are aligning.
