Emmanuel Ogbah Reportedly Signs Chiefs Contract, Updated Depth Chart Amid NFL Training Camp

The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with free agent defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah on a one-year contract, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Here was a look at the Chiefs' two-deep defensive depth chart before the move, per Ourlads. Ogbah should provide further depth at defensive end.

The 32-year-old Ogbah, a former Oklahoma State star, went 32nd overall in the 2016 NFL draft to the Cleveland Browns. He played three seasons there before being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ogbah got off to a great start in 2019, amassing 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 10 games for the eventual Super Bowl champions. Unfortunately, Ogbah suffered a torn pectoral in Week 10 and missed the remainder of the season.

He signed with the Miami Dolphins via free agency in the 2020 offseason and amassed back-to-back nine-sack seasons. Ogbah played five seasons in Miami in total before heading to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In 13 games (three starts), Ogbah had 15 tackles (six solo), four quarterback hits and a half-sack.

Now he's back with the Chiefs as they continue to shape their roster ahead of Week 1, which features Kansas City hosting the Denver Broncos on Monday, Sept. 14.
