Stefon Diggs Hyped by Commanders' Dan Quinn After Contract in 2026 NFL Free Agency

Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn praised new wide receiver Stefon Diggs while speaking with reporters Tuesday, according to ESPN's John Keim.

Diggs brings a wealth of experience to Washington after spending 11 NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans and New England Patriots. He has enjoyed an impressive career, averaging 99 receptions, 1,215 receiving yards and eight touchdowns over a 17-game season, per Pro Football Reference.

The 32-year-old earned Pro Bowl honors in each of his four seasons with the Bills from 2020-2023, averaging roughly 111 receptions, 1,343 yards and nine touchdowns per season during that span.

Diggs continued to excel into his second decade in the NFL, catching 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns for the 2025 Patriots. New England went on to win the AFC title after finishing 4-13 the previous season.

The Commanders are hoping for a similar turnaround after going 5-12 last season. Washington still has much of the talent from its 2024 squad that reached the NFC Championship Game, making a significant improvement this season well within reach. Adding Diggs as a starting wide receiver opposite Terry McLaurin should only strengthen those aspirations.
