High School Football Player Finds Snake in Helmet During Practice, Check Out Wild Photos

A high school football player practiced with a venomous snake in his helmet for over an hour in Arkansas this week.

Maumelle High School athletic director Kirk Horton said a cottonmouth snake wriggled into the padding of the player's helmet, and it wasn't discovered until the player reported feeling something odd in his headpiece.

Luckily, the player wasn't hurt, and animal services were able to take care of it. Those on Maumelle's football team will now likely take a closer look before throwing on their helmets.
