Projected MLB Playoff Bracket ♨️
Last year, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays played Game 7 of the World Series on Nov. 1, marking the ninth time that the World Series went into November. Barring any postponements, the league ensured that this year's World Series will be completed in October.
FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Dodgers as +150 favorites to win the World Series this season. Los Angeles would be the first team to complete a three-peat since the New York Yankees did so in 1998, 1999 and 2000. The Yankees have the second-best odds at +700, followed by the Milwaukee Brewers (+950), Atlanta Braves (+1,100) and Boston Red Sox (+1,100).
However, the Dodgers' recent struggles could indicate that they're running out of gas, as they've lost eight of their last nine games entering Monday's series opener against the Kansas City Royals. Luckily, Kansas City is one of the worst teams in the league, so Los Angeles could use the three-game set to get back on track.
The Dodgers and the rest of this year's postseason contenders have a little over a month to find their peak form before they begin their quests through the playoffs in late September.
