Chelsea Green Reveals Major Injury After Being Hospitalized Following WWE SmackDown in New Video

Chelsea Green confirmed she suffered a broken orbital bone during her and Tiffany Stratton's loss to Fatal Influence on SmackDown.

Green posted on Instagram that "this feels different," and she has "no idea" what the injury means in the bigger picture:

Green and Stratton battled Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid for the women's tag titles on Friday night. Fatal Influence retained the gold when Henley and Reid combined to hit the Fatal Flaw on Green.

Lash Legend and Nia Jax attacked the challengers after the match as well.

An injury to Green couldn't come at a worse time for her or SmackDown's women's division. She's a week removed from winning a ladder match at SummerSlam to crown a world champion.

The need for an interim champion arose because Rhea Ripley is sidelined with a torn meniscus.

Perhaps Green can keep competing with the aid of a protective mask. Otherwise, it could be another few months before the women's championship is up for grabs.
