Adam Vinatieri Shades Bill Belichick, References Jordon Hudson in Pro Football HOF Speech

Legendary NFL kicker Adam Vinatieri poked fun at longtime New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick during his Pro Football Hall of Fame speech on Saturday.

According to Rob Maaddi of the Associated Press, Vinatieri joked that Belichick couldn't make it to Canton, Ohio, for the ceremony because he was "judging his girlfriend's cheerleading contest." Vinatieri followed his quip up by calling Belichick "the greatest."

Vinatieri's comment was in reference to Belichick's girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, who is 49 years the junior of the 74-year-old Belichick.

Now 25 years old, Hudson was first seen publicly with Belichick in December 2024, and their relationship has been under the microscope ever since.

As for Vinatieri, he spent the first 10 seasons of his 24-year NFL career with the Patriots before playing 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.

Belichick was Vinatieri's coach from 2000 to 2005, and they enjoyed enormous success together, winning Super Bowl titles in 2001, 2003 and 2004.

Vinatieri made numerous clutch kicks during those playoff runs, particularly in the 2001 postseason.

He made the game-tying and game-winning field goals in a driving snow storm to beat the Oakland Raiders in the AFC Divisional Round, and the game-winning field goal as time expired in Super Bowl XXXVI to pull off a shocking upset of the St. Louis Rams.

All told, Vinatieri won four Super Bowl titles and was a three-time Pro Bowler and three-time First Team All-Pro during his illustrious career.

He is also the NFL's all-time leader in points scored (2,673) and field goals made (599), and his 365 career regular-season games played are the second-most in history behind only fellow Hall of Fame kicker Morten Andersen.

Belichick was surprisingly snubbed from the Pro Football Hall of Fame's class of 2026 despite being a six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach, but he figures to take his rightful spot in Canton alongside Vinatieri in the not-too-distant future.
