Jahmyr Gibbs Signs Extension Cord in New Lions Video to Celebrate Historic NFL Contract

Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs signed a unique item to commemorate his historic contract extension.

Gibbs autographed an extension cord in a video shared by the Lions on Friday:

The three-time Pro Bowler agreed to a three-year, $67.5 million extension with Detroit to make him the NFL's highest-paid running back on Thursday. The contract features $51.5 million guaranteed.

Gibbs is currently preparing for the 2026 season after a 2025 campaign in which he rushed for 1,223 yards and caught 77 passes for 616 yards. He also racked up 18 total touchdowns.
