Conor McGregor Blasts Doubters, Credits Tom Brady Inspiration in New Video After Surgery on Injury
After undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL suffered during his loss to Max Holloway at UFC 329 last month, Conor McGregor provided an injury update in a video shared on Friday.
McGregor showed off a large brace on his right knee and vowed to return despite being 38 years old and having lost each of his past three fights and four of his past five:
The Irishman named former UFC fighters Dominick Cruz and Georges St-Pierre, as well as legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, as athletes he's drawing inspiration from since they all bounced back from torn ACLs to perform at a high level.
McGregor is a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, but given his recent performances and the fact that he hadn't fought for five years before his recent bout, it is fair to wonder if a successful return to the Octagon is in the cards.
