Carson Beck, Kenny Pickett's Box Score Stats & Highlights from Panthers-Cardinals Hall of Fame Game

Carson Beck made quite the preseason debut on Thursday night.

The Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback led his team to three scoring drives in the first half of Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, making a strong first impression.

Here's how he fared, alongside Carolina Panthers' backup Kenny Pickett (who started in place of Bryce Young).

Suffice to say, NFL fans and pundits were impressed with Beck's showing:

Beck played the entire first half and was replaced by Kedon Slovis midway through the third quarter, with the scored tied at 17 apiece.

Jacoby Brissett is still expected to enter the regular season as the starter and Gardner Minshew II is expected to be his backup, but it wouldn't be surprising if the Cardinals eventually turned the reins over to Beck to see what they had in the rookie quarterback. He certainly looked up to the task on Thursday night.

"I had no clue I was going to start," Beck told reporters before Thursday's game. "Obviously, I thought I was going to play but I really didn't have any expectations going into any of this. Obviously, our schedule is absolutely crazy right now, practice, meetings. But I'm looking forward to it."

As for Pickett, he'll go into the 2026 season with his role more defined as the backup to Young. Carolina is his fifth NFL team in as many seasons.

He was removed from the game in the second quarter and replaced by rookie Haynes King.
