Caitlin Clark Talks 'Honor' of Being Named to USA's 2026 Women's FIBA World Cup Roster

Caitlin Clark is looking forward to representing the United States in this year's FIBA World Cup after it was announced that she will be on the roster.

"Obviously really exciting," she told reporters Thursday (1:40 mark). "Anytime you wear USA across your chest, tremendous honor. And to be surrounded by so many great players, some of which have already won Olympic gold medals, some have been on the World Cup team before. And obviously I get to share it with [Aliyah Boston] too, pretty cool, pretty fun. I'm excited about it, obviously. I've got a ways to go before we get there, August is a very busy month, a challenging month for us, we play a lot of good teams. Take it one day at a time. But just a big honor and I'm really excited."

Clark and Boston will be joined by Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Rhyne Howard, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, A'ja Wilson and Jackie Young, a star-studded group.

The United States will take on China (Sept. 4), Italy (Sept. 6) and Czechia (Sept. 7) in group play as it seeks a fifth straight gold medal in the World Cup and a 12th overall.
