Henry To'oTo'o, Texans Reportedly Agree to New Contract Ahead of 2026 NFL Season

The Houston Texans and linebacker Henry To'oTo'o agreed to a two-year, $16 million extension on Thursday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.

To'oTo'o, a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, was entering the final year of his rookie deal.

The 25-year-old made 14 appearances as a rookie and was a full-time starter for Houston in 2024 and 2025. Over that period, he totaled 200 combined tackles with one interception and seven pass breakups.

To'oTo'o did, however, have a team-high 18 missed tackles last year, according to Pro Football Reference. Safety Jalen Pitre (11) was the only other Texans defender to hit double digits.

In general, To'oTo'o has become a solid presence in Houston's defense, and an $8 million salary will tie him for 30th among the highest-paid linebackers. It's a reasonable sum to pay a player with his resume.

Maybe he could've earned more on the open market next spring, but now he has a little more security.

Only signing for two years also gives To'oTo'o the opportunity to keep building up his value and get to free agency when he'll be 28. A bigger payday could be awaiting by then.
