Little League Softball World Series 2026 Thursday Bracket Results and Highlights

Four undefeated teams remained in the Little League Softball World Series field entering Thursday's action from Greenville, North Carolina, where the modified double-elimination tournament is taking place.

The four teams faced off beginning at 1 p.m. ET, with Southeast taking on North Carolina and Latin America then playing Central.

Thursday Scores

1 p.m. ET: North Carolina (Clayton) 5, Southeast (Lake Mary, Florida) 2

5 p.m. ET: Central (Owensboro, Kentucky) 2, Latin America (Guayama, Puerto Rico) 0

North Carolina 5, Southeast 2

Anna-Lynn Clark pitched a complete-game gem for North Carolina, striking out 13 batters while allowing just one earned run en route to a 5-2 victory over Southeast (Lake Mary, Florida) that vaulted her team into Friday's orange bracket final.

Both teams were scoreless going into the fifth inning of a pitching duel. In the top of the fifth, Southeast's Kylie Green hit a triple and then scored after the throw back into the infield got away.

Green made a fantastic catch earlier in the game as well.

However, North Carolina got rolling in the bottom half of the frame after getting its first five baserunners on courtesy of an error, a single, a double, another single and a walk. The double was courtesy of Abbey Robinson and gave North Carolina a 2-1 edge.

The entire sequence ultimately plated three runs and put runners on first and second with one out.

The next two North Carolina batters got out, but the two baserunners scored after an error on a pop fly.

Southeast got one back in the sixth, but Clark closed the door with a strikeout to end the threat.

These two teams may see each other again soon, but we'll find out soon enough as Southeast will now play Northwest (Snohomish, Washington) in an elimination game on Friday.

It's a rematch of the tournament's opening game, which Southeast won 14-0. Northwest has since defeated Southwest (Helotes, Texas) 7-3 and Canada (Repentigny, Quebec) 9-1.

The winner meets North Carolina, and the team emerging from that game advances to the championship.

Central 2, Latin America 0

Central survived a pitcher's duel against Latin America to move on to the regional final.

Central's Michaela Knight went all six innings, giving up just two hits while striking out nine. Latin America's Anahia Nieves also went six innings and gave up four hits and a pair of runs while picking up five strikeouts.

After three scoreless innings, Central finally got on the board in the top of the fourth when Finley Beaven hit a double that brought one run across. Paisley Edge then tacked on one more with an RBI double of her own.

The two runs in the fourth proved to be the decider as Central gave up just one hit the rest of the way.

Central will now have a chance to move on to the championship game with a win on Saturday.
