Saquon Barkley, Jared Goff Named to NFL Top 100, Check Out the Updated 2026 Rankings

The NFL Top 100 countdown continued on Thursday with Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff added to the list.

Barkley was revealed as the No. 34 player going into the 2026 season after checking in at No. 1 a year ago.

Goff came in at No. 33, marking his fourth straight appearance on the list.

This ranking for Barkley marks a drop of 33 spots from last year when he was ranked No. 1 on the top 100. He became the first running back to claim the top spot since Adrian Peterson in 2013.

Barkley's dip in the rankings comes on the heels of a frustrating season overall for the Eagles offense. They went from seventh in points scored during their Super Bowl season in 2024 to 19th in 2025.

It would've been hard for Barkley to maintain his efficiency from 2024 because that was arguably the best season in NFL history by a running back. He led the league in rushing attempts, rushing yards, touches and yards from scrimmage.

Last season wasn't at that level for Barkley, but it's not like he fell off a cliff either. The 29-year-old finished with 1,413 yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns in 16 starts.

Barkley surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the fifth time in his career. He helped the Eagles make the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season and win their second straight NFC East title.

The Eagles became the first team to win the NFC East in back-to-back years since they previously did it from 2001 to '04.

Goff also experienced a drop in his spot on the list after coming in at No. 15 last year, even though he had very similar stats from his stellar 2024 season.

The five-time Pro Bowler threw for 4,564 yards, 34 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He was one of three quarterbacks to throw for at least 30 touchdowns with fewer than 10 interceptions, along with Matthew Stafford and Drake Maye.

Even though the Lions didn't always look as smooth in 2025 as they did in the previous two years when Ben Johnson was the offensive coordinator, they still finished fourth in points scored.

Goff's six games with at least 300 passing yards were tied with Dak Prescott for most in the NFL. He has been remarkably consistent since 2022 with at least 4,400 passing yards and 29 touchdown passes in four consecutive years.
