UFC 331 Fight Card Revealed with Gable Steveson's Next Opponent, Van vs. Pantoja Title Match

The UFC 331 fight card will feature a rematch between Joshua Van and Alexandre Pantoja.

The full card was revealed on Wednesday, with the flyweight title bout between Van and Pantoja headlining the event on Sept. 19.

Van and Pantoja last fought in December at UFC 323, when Van beat Pantoja via TKO to claim the flyweight title belt. The fight ended just 26 seconds in when Pantoja suffered an elbow injury after falling awkwardly on the mat.

Van defended the flyweight title in May against Tatsuro Taira at UFC 328. He said after the fight that he was hoping to get a rematch with Pantoja after an unfortunate ending to their first bout.

"He dominated the division," he told Damon Martin of MMA Fighting. "It's only right they give him the rematch. Yeah, I really hope me and him can run it back."

Van, who made his UFC debut in 2023, has an overall mixed martial arts record of 17-2, with his only UFC loss coming to Charles Johnson in 2024. He's won seven consecutive fights.

Pantoja is 30-6 in his career and has won eight of his last nine fights. He held the flyweight belt in 2023 and defended it four times before losing to Van, which was also the last time he fought.

While the bout between Van and Pantoja is the headliner, there are a handful of other interesting names to watch.

Gable Stevenson will make his second UFC appearance after starting his career with a win against Elisha Ellison in July. The former wrestler will take on Sean Sharaf, who has lost back-to-back fights.

Arman Tsarukyan will make his first appearance since November against Mauricio Ruffy as he looks to continue what has been a tremendous start to his career. Tsarukyan is 23-3 in his career and should have the chance to compete for a lightweight title in the near future.

The event will take place on Sept. 19 at Crypto.com in Los Angeles.
