Ryan Garcia Calls Out WWE Creative After Fans Criticize His Appearance with Danhausen, Dom Mysterio

WBC welterweight boxing champion Ryan Garcia suggested Tuesday that he was as disappointed with his segment on last week's episode of WWE Raw as many fans were.

During an appearance on ESNews (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), Garcia said of WWE, "I wish they would have given me a better segment because then I wouldn't have gotten as much hate."

During the July 27 episode of Raw, Joe Hendry and Danhausen performed a concert together, but Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh interrupted it.

They were joined by Garcia, who broke a guitar over Hendry's back and stood tall alongside Mysterio and McDonagh to end the segment.

The segment was widely panned by fans, and Garcia's comments suggest that he wasn't thrilled with it either.

However, Garcia also noted that he isn't concerning himself too much with outside opinions, saying, "I understand why people are trying to take me down. … I let people talk. … Here's the thing, f--k what they think."

Garcia beat Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title in his most recent bout back in February, and his Raw appearance was largely done to promote his upcoming title defense against Conor Benn on Sept. 12.

It figures to be one of the toughest challenges yet for the 25-2 Garcia, as Benn is 25-1 and coming off a win over former super lightweight champion Regis Prograis.
