Fantasy Football 2026 Top Preseason Sleepers, Funny Team Names and League Names
The 2026 NFL preseason got underway with Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, which means fantasy draft season has officially arrived. In the coming weeks, new leagues will spring up in all corners of the web, as veteran managers prepare to reenter the fray.
Regardless of what type of league you plan to participate in—start-up, keeper, dynasty, or re-draft—identifying draft bargains early will go a long way toward a successful season.
Here, we'll identify some top preseason sleepers and dive into some funny names for new teams and leagues in 2026.
Sleeper: Tyler Shough, QB, New Orleans Saints

Managers looking for sleeper value at quarterback can usually find it in dual-threat signal-callers. Jaxson Dart, for example, finished last season as QB14 despite only making 12 starts.
Second-year quarterback Tyler Shough only made nine starts as a rookie last year, but he averaged a solid 17.6 fantasy points across those starts. The Louisville product also has a strong chance to make a second-year jump this season.
New Orleans upgraded Shough's supporting cast by adding running back Travis Etienne Jr. and rookie first-round pick Jordyn Tyson. If Shough can build on what he accomplished last season, he'll be a dependable streaming option with top-12 potential.
With an average draft position (ADP) of 147, Shough is not being valued as a starter currently.
Sleeper: RJ Harvey, RB, Denver Broncos

Normally, a second-round running back going into his sophomore campaign behind an injury-prone starter would have a hard time flying under the radar. However, Denver Broncos back RJ Harvey seems to be doing just that.
Harvey has an ADP of 54, placing him deep into RB2 or flex territory.
To be fair, the Central Florida product is in a crowded backfield. The Broncos re-signed J.K. Dobbins and used a fourth-round pick on Jonah Coleman. However, he also recorded 47 catches, 896 scrimmage yards and 12 touchdowns last season while earning the respect of head coach Sean Payton.
Harvey has tremendous upside, especially in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues, and there's a very real chance that he'll supplant Dobbins as Denver's top back at some point in 2026.
Sleeper: Denzel Boston, WR, Cleveland Browns

While the formula isn't universal, managers can often find value by targeting No. 1 receivers on bad teams.
Last season, for example, the Las Vegas Raiders finished with the league's worst record. Yet, Tre Tucker finished as WR38 in PPR formats. His 9.5 PPR points per week represented solid flex value for a player who was largely undrafted.
The Cleveland Browns don't know whether Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders will be their starting quarterback, but rookie Denzel Boston has a good chance to be their No. 1 receiver. Boston was the second wideout drafted by Cleveland, after Kevin Concepcion, but his combination of length (6'3") and ball skills makes him a candidate to be the top perimeter target.
