Penei Sewell, Cooper DeJean Named to NFL Top 100, Check Out the Updated 2026 Rankings

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean continued his ascent in the NFL Top 100.

The third-year star moved up 22 spots to 38th. He's the fourth Eagles player on the list.

Detroit Lions offensive tackle Penei Sewell is a Top 100 player for the third straight year but occupies his lowest position (No. 37) to date.

DeJean impressed as a rookie and steadily played his way into a starting role. He built on that success in 2025 and earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors.

The former Iowa standout had 93 combined tackles, two interceptions and 16 pass breakups. According to Pro Football Reference, opposing quarterbacks completed 60.5 percent of their throws and had a 75.4 passer rating when looking his way.

The Eagles' Super Bowl title defense came up well short as they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card Round. The team went backward on both sides of the ball, though it remained a top-10 unit against the pass.

Philly allowed the eighth-fewest yards (189.8) through the air and a paltry 14 touchdown passes. Even in what was a disappointing year collectively, DeJean made his presence felt.

As a 2024 second-round pick, DeJean is only two years out from free agency. He's trending toward becoming one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league on his next contract.

Sewell was a Pro Bowler for the fourth time and received All-Pro honors for the third successive year in 2025.

His reputation might've taken a slight hit after the Lions finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs.

The offense in particular didn't click after John Morton took over for Ben Johnson as the coordinator. Detroit was a top-five squad in both yards and points but didn't have the same explosiveness.

For Sewell, his Top 100 standing is somewhat at odds with how others around the NFL view him. He was the No. 1 offensive tackle in the annual positional poll from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

"He's still the most complete player at this stage — physical, powerful, smart," one coach told Fowler.

Sewell will play left tackle full time in 2026, having made his name on the right side to this point. It presents him with a great opportunity to cement himself as the premier blocker on the edge.
