Updated Fantasy Football 2026 Top-50 Player Rankings and 4-Round 12-Team Mock Draft

The NFL preseason starts in a matter of days.

If you haven't started cramming for the fantasy football campaign ahead, the clock is very much ticking.

You probably already know that, though, since you decided to read this, so at least you're on the right path. Still, time is of the essence, so let's not waste any more of it with intro fluff and instead dive right into player rankings, a simulated mock draft and a look at some of the more notable selections on the board.

Since individual mock drafts are as unique as their real-life counterparts, it can be hard to glean good information from a single run through the exercise. Over time, though, it can be hugely helpful to identify trends, so let's take a closer look at a couple of market-setters in this mock.

First rookie: Jeremiyah Love, RB, ARI (Second pick of round four)

Dynasty drafters might place tons of fantasy stock into NFL freshmen, but those in redraft leagues don't need to chase young players nearly as high. In fact, Love was the only rookie to even crack this four-round mock.

He lasted longer in the simulated mock than he will in a lot of draft rooms, so if you plan on making him a priority, you could aggressively target him in the second round or hope he's on the board until your third pick.

First tight end: Trey McBride, ARI (Eighth pick of round two)

While it didn't happen in this mock, the first player taken at a position other than running back or wide receiver can spark a small run at that spot. Here, though, five selections separated McBride from the second tight end, Brock Bowers, and only two other tight ends would crack the top four rounds (Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland).

If you consider McBride or Bowers must-add targets, you should plan on drafting them in the second round. The fourth round, meanwhile, is probably the sweet spot for Warren or Loveland, although you could easily wind up sweating that out if you aren't picking until the back end of the fourth.

First quarterback: Josh Allen (Third pick of round three)

Even those who advocate waiting for a quarterback could concede there's a point at which it might make sense to target an elite. In a lot of drafts, someone will pounce on a signal-caller in the second round, but here, the position was untouched until round three.

That said, three different quarterbacks went in the third round—Lamar Jackson went three picks after Allen, and Drake Maye came off the board five picks later—and a fourth went in round four (Joe Burrows). So, if your draft strategy involves snagging a premium passer, you might have to consider making the move with your second pick to get the one you want and almost certainly can't wait longer than your third.
