WWE Rumors on Roman Reigns, LA Knight, Oba Femi, Bron Breakker and Lil Yachty's Contract

Updates on Roman Reigns' Creative Plans

Coming out of SummerSlam, a feud with LA Knight looks on the cards for Roman Reigns.

Knight, who won a six-man tag match over the weekend, all but challenged Reigns for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. The Original Tribal Chief isn't obliging, at least for now.

Wrestling Observer Radio (via Wrestle Features) reported the tentative plan is to have the two square off at Money in the Bank, which is the next major premium live event on the schedule.

One hurdle with Reigns' current title reign is that he has already beaten almost every notable star on the WWE roster. He and Knight squared off at Crown Jewel 2023 and then at the Royal Rumble months later.

Maybe enough time has passed to generate some hype around a rematch, but some may struggle to view Knight, despite his popularity, as a credible threat.

Monday's edition of Raw also saw AAA general manager Rey Mysterio approach Reigns backstage and tease a business proposition of some kind.

Wrestling Observer Radio's Dave Meltzer reported this is teeing up Reigns' appearance at a forthcoming AAA show, though it's unclear when that will happen.

According to the longtime insider, WWE doesn't intend to put the world champion on NXT Heatwave on Aug. 30, which is running up against AEW's All In pay-per-view. He's not slated for the first night of AAA's Triplemanía 34 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sept. 11, either.

Meltzer posited that Worlds Collide on Sept. 26 is a possibility, though he's expecting CM Punk to be on that card when the show is near his hometown of Chicago.

AEW's All Out event will also be running in Chicagoland on the same night, so WWE may have designs on utilizing whatever resources it can to overshadow the competing spectacle.

Whenever Reigns does cross over to AAA, it promises to be a major occasion.

Oba Femi, Bron Breakker Match on the Cards

The signs are pointing toward an eventual confrontation between Reigns and Oba Femi after SummerSlam. WWE may not be in a hurry to make that happen.

While Reigns is occupied with Knight, Femi is getting matched up against Bron Breakker. Wrestling Observer Radio (via Wrestle Features) reported this is the path for the two emerging stars after they had a tense exchange on Raw.

Breakker vs. Femi has the potential to be a lot of fun on its own and a great showcase for each wrestler.

Somebody has to lose, though.

Coming up short against Breakker would slow Femi's momentum. The Ruler isn't going to prevail in every single match between now and whenever he crosses paths with Reigns, but he should at least get a few victories on the heels of SummerSlam.

Breakker, meanwhile, has been marginalized somewhat after it seemed only a matter of time before he'd be a world champion. In terms of the bigger picture, his future is still promising, but he needs to stop treading water at some point.

Feuding with Femi could be the vehicle that puts Breakker on a main-event trajectory again. In that case, Femi would be the one who gets pushed out of the spotlight a bit.

WWE, Lil Yachty Discussing Extension

Don't expect to see Lil Yachty leave a WWE ring soon. False Finish reported Monday he and WWE are in negotiations over prolonging his partnership with the company.

SummerSlam looked like a possible prelude for the rapper's exit.

Yachty falling through a table at ringside caused Trick Williams to lose his focus momentarily, and that allowed Baron Corbin to hit the champion with the U.S. title before picking up the win.

Williams could decide Yachty has become a burden and ditch his manager. In general, plenty of fans don't see him as an additive to Williams' overall presentation.

WWE could disagree thanks to Lil Yachty's crossover appeal.
