Lake Mary Little League Dominates

Southeast Region representative Lake Mary Little League out of Florida sent a loud and clear message to the rest of the field on Sunday. The squad threw up 14 runs on their opponents from Washington, battering them with a barrage of runs.

Making matters worse for the outmatched Snohomish Little League team was an emphatic performance from pitcher Chloe Cheek, who gave up just two hits and allowed only four baserunners. She struck out seven to put an exclamation point on her dominant showing.

While it is just one game, it was a complete showing the likes of which can catapult teams into contention; a momentum-builder in the most important tournament of the year.

Elsewhere, Kinki Softball LL out of Sangō, Japan, made its Little League Softball World Series debut with a surprisingly one-sided win over New Jersey, while Daviess County LL sent its own message with an 11-run shellacking of California's Live Oak squad.

Rain delayed the day's schedule, forcing Game 4 to move to 9:00 a.m. Monday morning.
