Will Levis Makes Bold Statement, Says He Should Be an NFL Starter Amid Titans QB2 Battle

Tennessee Titans reserve quarterback Will Levis expressed his belief that he should be a starter in the NFL.

"100 percent," Levis told reporters on Saturday. "There are not 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me, I know that for sure."

Levis is competing with veteran Mitchell Trubisky for the Titans' No. 2 quarterback spot behind Cam Ward in training camp.

"I have more confidence than I've ever had," Levis said Saturday, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "I know from the tape I've put on already that I'm a dang good quarterback in this league, even better than I ever have been."

Levis was initially selected by Tennessee in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft, starting nine games as a rookie. He threw for 1,808 yards and eight touchdowns compared to four interceptions.

The 27-year-old also made 12 starts during his second season in 2024, completing 63.1 percent of his throws for 2,091 yards and 13 touchdowns while getting picked off 12 times.

Levis also lost six fumbles that season, as he was benched late in the year. The Titans ultimately finished with a 3-14 record, earning the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft and using it to select Ward.

Ward started all 17 regular-season games during his rookie campaign, while Levis was unavailable last year as he recovered from shoulder surgery.

Although Levis is now battling with Trubisky for a backup role, he's confident that he can be a starter once again.
