Mets Celebrate 1986 World Series Champs in Photo, Wear Throwback Jerseys vs. Marlins

The New York Mets celebrated the 40th anniversary of their iconic 1986 World Series championship team on Saturday.

In addition to wearing throwback uniforms from the 1986 season for their home game against the Miami Marlins at Citi Field, the Mets also honored members of the 1986 World Series team on the field before the game:

Led by Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden and Keith Hernandez, the 1986 team won the second and most-recent World Series title in franchise history.
