Stefon Diggs-Bills Reunion Addressed by HC Joe Brady in New Video amid WR's NFL Free Agency

Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady says he doesn't know whether wide receiver Stefon Diggs could potentially return to upstate New York in the future.

"I don't know anything," Brady said when asked in a Saturday appearance on the Up & Adams Show about Diggs making a potential return to the Bills. "I know [general manager Brandon] Beane's always in with the mindset that we're always out there and rolling."

Brady continued: "Here's what I love. I love the way our receiver room is rolling right now, and the confidence they're playing with, and the connection that they're rolling with. So, excited for us to come out here and compete today."

The Patriots released Diggs in March after one season with the team.

The wide receiver played four Pro Bowl seasons for the Bills for 2020 to 2023.

He topped 1,100 receiving yards in each of his four campaigns with the team before he was traded to the Houston Texans in 2024.

Brady credited Diggs with helping quarterback Josh Allen reach MVP form during that tenure.

"Josh wouldn't have continued to elevate the career that he had without a guy like Stefon Diggs... there's nothing but love by the way that he played football and the plays that he made here," Brady said.

Diggs seemingly expressed unhappiness with Buffalo following his trade from the organization in 2022, when he described the Texans after the trade as "a breath of fresh air."

The wide receiver more recently said in February interview he had "a lot of love and respect" for the Bills.

"I know they're not huge fans of me at this point, but I got a lot of love and respect for that organization and that fanbase, one of the craziest fanbases in the world... Hopefully one day we can hug it out," Diggs said in February.

Diggs has expressed confidence this offseason he will be re-signing with a new team ahead of the 2026 season. He said in a July video posted to his YouTube channel he felt he could be the best WR2 in the NFL.

The Bills are for now heading into the season with offseason acquisition DJ Moore leading a wide receiver room also staffed by Khalil Shakir, Josh Palmer and Keon Coleman.
