Shedeur Sanders Hypes Browns' Rookie WRs KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston in New Video at Training Camp

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders says he's excited to get the chance to work with rookie wide receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston while competing with Deshaun Watson for the QB1 job.

"I'm super excited for them, and overall I'm happy," Sanders said Saturday. "I'm really happy that they're here, and that all the decision-makers made the decision to bring them here, because they definitely held up their end, and they're definitely a part of the standard that we have here.

"It's just exciting, being able to see young guys come in and be able to have daily success, and that success daily is going to add up over time."

The Browns selected Concepcion out of Texas A&M with the No. 24 pick of the 2026 draft before adding Boston out of Washington in the second round.

Both wide receivers have since gotten the chance to work with both Sanders, who is looking to hold onto the QB1 spot after finishing last season as the Browns' starter, and Watson, who is hoping to make a comeback from the injuries that have sidelined him since 2024.

Watson said Saturday he thought Concepcion and Boston "are doing a heck of a job.

"Being able to see them come out here and just go up for balls, making contested catches, has been really good," Watson said (h/t WEWS' Camryn Justice). "I think they're going to be very productive and helpful for this offense."

The two rookies join a wide receiver depth chart led by Jerry Jeudy, who is looking to bounce back after seeing his production drop to 602 receiving yards last season.

Rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. led the team with 731 receiving yards last season, and no other pass-catcher recorded more than 350 receiving yards.

Adding Concepcion and Boston should immediately provide more options whether Sanders or Watson ultimately wins the QB1 job next season.

B/R NFL scout Damian Parson described Concepcion ahead of the draft as "one of NFL Draft's most explosive run-after-catch weapons" due in part to his speed.

Parson described Boston as a "prototypical boundary possession X-receiver" able to win contested catches.

Browns coach Todd Monken will be tasked with setting up which quarterback wins the starting job for success by putting together an offense that can utilize all three of Jeudy, Concepcion and Boston.
