'I Do Some Dumb Things,' Cam Skattebo Addresses Viral Botched Backflip Video After Talks with Giants

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo made headlines in mid-July when he botched a backflip at Fanatics Fest in New York City.

Both Giants head coach John Harbaugh and general manager Joe Schoen expressed their concerns about the backflip, per comments made to reporters, and now Skattebo has addressed the act during a chat with reporters from the team's training camp in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia on Friday.

In essence, he said he does some "dumb things here and there" but that he will "learn from it."

Therein lies the possibility that Skattebo does a backflip celebration on the field, but off the field appears out of the question now.

Skattebo is working his way back to the field after suffering a dislocated ankle, fractured fibula, and ruptured deltoid ligament during a road game at the Philadelphia Eagles last October.

Thankfully, he's healthy and fully participating in training camp.

One could sense that Skattebo's health was trending in the right direction when he executed a backflip in May at Giants edge-rusher Brian Burns' charity softball game.

That still appears to be the case now as Skattebo and the Giants look to get the Harbaugh's first year as Big Blue head coach's off on the right foot.
