Madden NFL 27 Team Ratings Revealed for Rams, Eagles, Full Top 10 Ahead of Release Date
The 10 highest-rated teams in Madden NFL 27 were released by EA Sports on Friday.
The Los Angeles Rams sat at No. 1 with a 91 overall rating while the Philadelphia Eagles owned the No. 2 spot with an 88 rating.
Here's a look at the top 10 teams.
Madden NFL 27 Team Ratings
- Los Angeles Rams, 91 overall
- Philadelphia Eagles, 88 overall
- Detroit Lions, 87 overall
- Baltimore Ravens, 87 overall
- Denver Broncos, 86 overall
- New England Patriots, 86 overall
- San Francisco 49ers, 85 overall
- Buffalo Bills, 85 overall
- Kansas City Chiefs, 84 overall
- Seattle Seahawks, 84 overall
It's a surprise to see the Seattle Seahawks, the defending Super Bowl champions, sitting at No. 10.
While the Seahawks lost running back Kenneth Walker III in free agency, they still boast a defense that ranked No. 1 among all teams by allowing 17.2 points per game last season. They're also coming off a dominant playoff run in which they outscored their opponents 101-46.
Meanwhile, it isn't a shock to see the Rams own the highest rating in the game.
After finishing with a 12-5 record and making an NFC Championship Game appearance, Los Angeles acquired star pass-rusher Myles Garrett in a blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns on June 1.
The Rams also added star cornerback Trent McDuffie in a May 11 swap with the Kansas City Chiefs.
With reigning MVP Matthew Stafford as well as Los Angeles' receiving duo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams back in the mix, the Rams have their sights set on contending for the Lombardi Trophy.
Philadelphia was busy this offseason, signing cornerback Riq Woolen in free agency on March 10 before trading for outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard in a deal with the Minnesota Vikings on April 24.
While the Eagles sent star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots in exchange for a pair of future draft picks in June, they're still expected to compete for their third straight NFC East crown.
