1-of-1 Shohei Ohtani Card Sells for $10M+ After Collector Pulls Topps Dual Gold Logoman Autograph

A one-of-one card featuring Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani was recently pulled, Topps announced Thursday.

The Gold Logoman dual autograph card was pulled by a collector at his local card shop in Boca Raton, Florida, and promptly sold for more than $10 million.

According to ESPN's David Schoenfield, "High-end sports card collector Matthew Allen -- also known by his screen names shyne150 and Bolillo Lajan San -- posted on his Instagram account that 'To make it very clear, I paid over 10 million for the card.' Allen is one of three principals of Secure Collectibles, alongside 'Shark Tank' personality Kevin O'Leary and Paul Warshaw."

The card features two gold MLB logo patches that Ohtani wore during games to commemorate his back-to-back National League MVP seasons in 2024 and 2025. Two autographs, one in english and one in Kanji, are also on the card.

The patches are from a road game on Sept. 7, 2025 and a home game on April 12, 2026. Players who win MVP, Cy Young and Rookie of the Year awards receive gold logo patches to wear throughout the following season.

Ohtani was dominant throughout his 2024 and 2025 campaigns, amassing totals of 63 doubles and 109 home runs to go along with 232 RBI across 317 games. He also owned a .296/.391/.634 slash line during that stretch.

While the two-way star didn't pitch in 2024 as he recovered from elbow surgery, he returned to the mound the following year. Ohtani posted a 2.87 ERA in 14 appearances during his 2025 season, averaging 11.9 strikeouts per nine innings.

He helped the Dodgers capture World Series titles in both years.
