Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd's Final Box Score Stats, Highlights as Dream Beat Wings

The All-Star break did nothing to cool off the Atlanta Dream, although they needed a stunning finish to keep their winning streak rolling.

Atlanta defeated the Dallas Wings 82-81 in Wednesday's contest to improve to 17-10 overall with a fourth consecutive victory. It seemed as if Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd and the Wings were going to cruise to an easy victory when they entered the fourth quarter with a 12-point advantage, but Allisha Gray played the role of hero while spearheading a comeback alongside Angel Reese.

The duo helped the visitors gradually chip away in the fourth until Arike Ogunbowale's flagrant foul with 18 seconds remaining on a reckless closeout opened the door for a comeback. Gray calmly drilled all three free throws and then connected on the game-winning jumper when the Dream maintained possession.

She finished with a game-high 25 points in a matchup that featured plenty of production from stars such as Reese, Bueckers, Fudd and Ogunbowale.

The win means the Dream swept the season series against the Wings, although they could face each other again in the playoffs seing how they are both contenders playing at a high level.

Given that backdrop, anything but a tightly contested battle would have been a surprise.

And that is exactly what it was out of the gates with both teams playing physical defense and cutting off driving lanes through an even first quarter. Even when the Wings seized some momentum in the second quarter and opened up a double-digit lead with Ogunbowale and Jessica Shepard leading the way, Atlanta climbed back to within six by halftime.

The star power was also on full display early with Reese and Gray reaching double figures before intermission for the Dream and Bueckers facilitating while Fudd attacked the lane and used her quick jumper for the Wings.

Finding ways to impact the game outside of shooting was important for both sides with a combined one made three-pointer in the first half, but the shots eventually arrived for Dallas when Fudd drilled back-to-back triples to push the lead back to double digits in the third quarter.

It was more of the same for the rookie who won the Three-Point Contest during All-Star break and helped the home team open up a commanding advantage with Bueckers also finding success inside the lane and Ogunbowale remaining aggressive on the offensive side and finishing the quarter with an impressive and-1 in transition.

Yet the Dream wouldn't go away as Reese dominated in the paint and Gray provided the perimeter scoring. The visitors also turned up the defensive intensity and limited Bueckers in particular as they climbed within a single possession in the final two minutes.

But the best players typically come through when it matters most, and Bueckers responded to the cold start to the fourth quarter with a step-back three-pointer and pressure-packed free throws that appeared to clinch the game.

However, it all changed with Ogunbowale's flagrant foul, and Gray had the last laugh with her clutch finish.

Now the Dream will look to keep the momentum rolling when they return home to face the Seattle Storm on Friday.
