Lamar Jackson Reacts to Ranking Drop in NFL's Top 100 List Ahead of Ravens 2026 Season

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson doesn't appear concerned that he dropped to No. 69 on the "NFL Top 100," the annual list of the league's top players (as voted on by the players).

"The 69 thing. The ratings, whatever it is. I've seen that. People were tagging me," Jackson told reporters on Wednesday at training camp, per the Associated Press' Noah Trister.

"It is what it is," Jackson added. "I play football. I do not care about rankings."

Jackson was No. 2 on last year's list. That was a fair ranking considering his tremendous 2024 season, which featured him finishing as the NFL MVP runner-up to Buffalo Bills signal-caller Josh Allen.

Jackson completed 66.7 percent of his passes for a career-high 4,172 yards and 41 touchdowns (four interceptions). He finished first in the NFL in quarterback rating (119.6), QBR (74.8) and yards per attempt (8.8). Jackson also ran for 915 yards and four scores.

Unfortunately, Jackson encountered a downturn in 2025, in part because he suffered a hamstring strain that forced him to miss three-plus games. A back contusion in December kept him out for another contest. Hamstring, knee and ankle issues also ailed Jackson.

For the year, Jackson completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 21 touchdowns (seven picks) and 2,549 yards while rushing for 349 yards and two more scores.

Hopefully Jackson is fortunate enough to have a healthier 2026. If so, he's certainly capable of putting up huge numbers as he did in 2024.

His NFL 100 ranking would shoot up in response, but Jackson is certainly more concerned with getting the Ravens back on a winning path. Baltimore struggled to an 8-9 season last year that left the team outside the playoff picture.

The Ravens have the talent in place to get back to the postseason, though, and would like to do so as new head coach Jesse Minter begins a new chapter in town.
