Fastest Player in Madden NFL 27 Revealed with Top 10 Speed Ratings, 'Will Anyone Catch Him?'

The Kansas City Chiefs are rostering the fastest player in EA Sports' Madden NFL for a second straight season.

Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy is the only player with a 99 speed rating at launch of the upcoming NFL 27.

EA Sports announced the news Wednesday in a post captioned, "Will anyone catch him?"

Worthy set an NFL scouting combine record by running a 4.21-second 40-yard dash in 2024. He received a 98 speed rating in Madden NFL 25, then was bumped up to 99 in Madden NFL 26.

Two Detroit Lions wide receivers earned a 98 speed rating at launch of NFL 27 in Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams. The Jacksonville Jaguars' Brian Thomas Jr., Dallas Cowboys' KaVontae Turpin and Los Angeles Chargers' Brenan Thompson came in just behind with a 97 rating.

The latest edition of EA Sports' NFL series is set to launch Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. ET.
