George Kittle, Zack Baun Named to NFL Top 100, Check Out the Updated 2026 Rankings

The NFL Top 100 list reveal continued on Wednesday with San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Zack Baun making the cut.

Kittle ranks No. 46 on the top 100, marking his eighth consecutive appearance on the list.

Baun came in at No. 45 to earn his second consecutive appearance on the list.

Kittle is at an interesting potential crossroads in his career after suffering a torn Achilles in the 49ers' playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles in January.

Heading into his age-33 season, Kittle is certainly one of the defining players at his position of this generation. He has made the All-Pro team five times, including two first-team selections.

A hamstring injury limited Kittle to 11 games in 2025, but he still tied for fifth among all tight ends with seven touchdown receptions. He also finished second on the Niners in receptions (57) and third in receiving yards (628).

Per Thomas Valentine of Pro Football Focus, Kittle's catch rate of 85.3 percent ranked fourth among all tight ends last season.

Kittle's run blocking is also an essential part of his value. At one point last season, the 49ers averaged 4.36 yards per carry with him on the field and 2.98 with him off the field.

The 49ers have made attempts to supplement their pass-catching talent in recent years, drafting Ricky Pearsall in the first round in 2024 and signing Mike Evans in free agency this offseason, but Kittle remains one of the main driving forces behind the success of Kyle Shanahan's offense.

One of the best free-agent signings of the 2024 offseason, Baun followed up his breakout year with another standout season for the Eagles.

The 29-year-old recorded 123 combined tackles and set or tied his career-high in passes defensed (seven), quarterback hits (five) and sacks (3.5). His seven tackles for loss were tied for third-most on the Eagles.

Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Baun was the only player in the NFL with at least 120 tackles and 10 disrupted dropbacks (sack, interception or batted/defended/tipped pass) last season.

Baun is one of the anchors for a loaded Eagles defense that already placed Quinyon Mitchell in the top 100 at No. 47. He will once again be an integral part of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's system in 2026 as Philadelphia looks to make the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season.
