Tom Brady Warned About WWE amid Logan Paul Rivalry by NFL Legend Patrick Peterson in New Video

Longtime NFL cornerback Patrick Peterson did battle with legendary quarterback Tom Brady many times over the years on the gridiron, but Peterson does not want to see Brady take his fighting spirit into the wrestling ring.

In an interview this week with TMZ Sports, Peterson made it clear that he is against the idea of Brady having a match in WWE:

"Tom don't wanna go to WWE," Peterson said. "He's a quarterback—and I know Tom is a tough guy. I had the opportunity to be around Tom a bunch of times. He is a hard-nosed Michigan man. Those Michigan men, they definitely wear their heart on their sleeve, but the WWE, Tom? Just let it be. Just let it be, man."

Brady has been heavily linked to WWE recently due to his interactions with WWE Superstar Logan Paul at Fanatics Fest, which included Brady slapping the former United States and tag team champion.

Even before that, Brady suggested that he would be open to having a match, telling WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About, "I feel like, I'm retired from football, have the opportunity to go out there and showcase that I'm still a little bit of an athlete. My boy Gronk's done it, I've seen Logan Paul do it. I think I could get in there for at least one match, right?"

Following those comments and his run-in with Paul, TMZ Sports reported that Brady has been in discussions with WWE, although it isn't yet known if those talks will lead to a match.

WWE has never been shy about celebrity involvement, especially at major events like WrestleMania.

Numerous stars from Hollywood and the sports world have had matches on the Grandest Stage of Them All, including Mr. T, Lawrence Taylor, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Bad Bunny and Pat McAfee to name a few.

As a seven-time Super Bowl champion, five-time Super Bowl MVP, three-time NFL MVP and arguably the greatest player in NFL history, Brady's star power rivals all of the aforementioned names.

Getting Brady in the ring at next year's WrestleMania or any other event, potentially against another major crossover star in Paul, would be a massive coup for WWE in terms of mainstream attention.

Peterson may not want to see Brady in the world of pro wrestling, but given the business Brady and WWE can likely do together, there may be motivation for both sides to get a deal done.
