Justin Herbert, Madison Beer Announce Engagement in New Photos Ahead of Chargers Season

Before entering his seventh season with the Los Angeles Chargers, star quarterback Justin Herbert scored one of the biggest wins of his life.

Herbert and pop singer Madison Beer announced their engagement on Tuesday on Instagram, with Beer posting a caption that read, "Meet my fiancé."

Herbert and Beer went public with their relationship last year, and they have been frequently seen together ever since. Earlier this summer, Beer said in a behind-the-scenes video from The Locket Tour that her relationship with Herbert helped her overcome her fear of flying, as she had to get used to the frequent travel to watch him play during the season.

"He flies all the time, like when they're in season, like every single week, and I could never," Beer said. "So it makes me feel better that he's taken so many flights and they've all been OK, so I'm like, it's fine. That's how my brain thinks about it."

Herbert and Beer will now join the pantheon of athlete-musician pairings alongside Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift, who tied the knot earlier this month.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Herbert has helped lead the Chargers to the playoffs in three of the last four seasons. He will certainly be motivated to help his team compete for a spot in the Super Bowl, and it would be poetic if he manages to pair his impending wedding ring with a championship ring.
