Oba Femi, Roman Reigns and Stars Guaranteed to Win at WWE SummerSlam 2026

Donald WoodJul 28, 2026

SummerSlam is WWE's second-largest premium live event of the calendar year, and the two-day card will be stacked with matches. Unfortunately for wrestling fans, quantity doesn't equal quality.

The company has booked several unpredictable bouts on the card, but three outcomes feel almost inevitable.

Victories for Oba Femi, Roman Reigns and Iyo Sky aren't just about who deserves to win, though, as these Superstars must protect their momentum, set up future feuds and establish WWE's next direction.

Here are the wrestlers guaranteed to come out on top this weekend at SummerSlam.

WWE Fixes Previous Mistakes With Oba Femi

When Femi made his main roster debut, it became clear he would be one of the company's top performers in the heavyweight division for years to come.

However, Triple H and WWE Creative did their best to stifle his momentum instead.

From a loss against Brock Lesnar to booking that undercut Femi by having him trade a world championship opportunity for a Hell in a Cell match he likely could have secured anyway, it's time for WWE to right those wrongs and let The Ruler decimate The Beast Incarnate, not just edge him in an even matchup.

Lesnar is already an all-time legend, and another SummerSlam victory adds little to his resume. While a loss doesn't hurt his credibility, it would cement Femi as a bona fide top star, especially with the Hell in a Cell stipulation being the ideal environment for a fresh face to prove himself.

Regardless of previous booking missteps, Femi doesn't just need to survive Lesnar; he needs to decisively conquer him and leave SummerSlam looking like WWE's next generational powerhouse.

Roman Reigns Defeating Seth Rollins is a Foregone Conclusion

While the war between Reigns and Seth Rollins is built on over a decade of history, stemming from their time together in The Shield through their main event championship feuds, their SummerSlam 2026 ending should reinforce who currently sits atop WWE.

Reigns is still rebuilding his dominance, and a marquee World Heavyweight Championship defense immediately establishes this run as meaningful.

If he were to lose in his first major defense, it would make the title feel like an afterthought.

Rollins beating Reigns at this point in his career wouldn't make sense, as it would negatively impact The Tribal Chief. Even in a loss, The Visionary will remain one of WWE's biggest stars since his character works just as well chasing titles as holding them.

Not only can Rollins afford another heartbreaking loss, but it may also add life to his character after years of floating around the main event without a distinct direction.

As for Reigns, he can't afford to lose his momentum if Triple H and WWE Creative want the world title run to feel like another defining era.

Liv Morgan's Reign Ends

Since winning the 2026 women's Royal Rumble match, Morgan has been one of the most consistent characters in all of WWE, putting on quality contests and telling convincing stories in the ring and on the mic.

The problem has been that her booking has been inconsistent and the angles have been lackluster at times.

It's time for Morgan to drop the Women's World Championship to one of WWE's biggest babyfaces, Iyo Sky.

Few wrestlers have consistently delivered in big matches over the past year like The Genius of the Sky, and SummerSlam feels like the perfect moment to reward her. With Morgan's run with the title launching her into the main event picture, the stage has been set for her to pass the torch.

Sky winning the title injects fresh life into an already talented division and cements the Queen of the Ring tournament as a viable path to a world championship.

The tournament should continue feeling like a guaranteed launching pad for world title success.
