Marshawn Lynch Reveals Advice from Deion Sanders to Set Up Post-NFL Playing Career
Marshawn Lynch has transitioned seamlessly into his post-NFL career, and he leaned on the advice of another former NFL star who has found success after his playing days.
Lynch revealed on Carmelo Anthony's podcast, 7PM in Brooklyn a Wave Original, that Deion Sanders encouraged him to pursue all of his ventures over the last few years.
"Deion Sanders told me… 'If you continue on the path you on, you going to make more money after you done playing than you ever did in the league,'" Lynch said (30:00 mark).
Lynch retired in 2019, but he's remained busy in the years since.
He's appeared in several movies, including one this year called He Bled Neon. He's also been in several TV shows, including seven episodes of the latest season of Euphoria.
Additionally, Lynch holds an ownership stake in the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Kraken and the Oakland Roots of the USL.
Lynch's path has looked a bit different from Sanders', who is the head coach of Colorado, but Beast Mode is nonetheless building quite the portfolio following his NFL days.
