Fantasy Football 2026 Sleepers, Best Team Names and Top Rookies

With training camps now underway all around the NFL, fantasy enthusiasts have some real, relevant information they can use to help prepare for draft day. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones, for example, told The Pat McAfee Show on Monday that he's been cleared for camp.

Jones suffered a torn Achilles after only 13 games and still finished as QB17 last season.

While information about quarterbacks, top stars, and highly-drafted rookies like running back Jeremiyah Love won't be difficult to find in the coming weeks, many fantasy managers will want to dig deeper in search of potential sleepers.

Here, we'll examine a few sleepers worth following during training camp, dive into some rookie point-per-reception (PPR) rankings, and run down a few creative team name suggestions to help with that part of the pre-draft process.

Sleeper QB: Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward was, at best, a marginal streaming option as a rookie last season. While he was durable enough to start all 17 games, he finished as QB22 for the year.

However, Ward should be poised for a significant Year 2 jump. Tennessee's offensive line is still suspect, but the Titans added two quality receivers in Wan'Dale Robinson and rookie fourth overall pick Carnell Tate.

Ward threw for just 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns as a rookie, but he should have a real chance to surpass the 4,000-yard mark in his sophomore campaign. And while he isn't a true dual-threat quarterback, he can add some bonus points as a scrambler—he logged 159 yards and two touchdowns last season. Additionally, he'll face a relatively easy schedule (13th-easiest among QBs, per FantasyPros).

With an average draft position (ADP) of just 214, Ward is being ignored in many drafts. However, he has strong upside as a streamer this season.

Sleeper RB: Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers

There's some risk involved in targeting Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks this season. The 2024 second-round pick only played sparingly as a rookie before suffering a torn ACL in the same knee that he injured in college.

After two significant knee injuries and a year layoff, there's no telling how Brooks will perform in 2026. However, he is facing a terrific opportunity in Carolina.

The Panthers parted with Rico Dowdle, who split time with Chuba Hubbard last season and finished the year as RB18. Brooks will replace Hubbard in the backfield tandem and may even emerge as Carolina's RB1.

"Talking to people in Carolina, he's looked incredible this spring," Cameron Wolfe of ESPN and NFL Network said on Good Morning Football. "...if he is healthy, he can be the lead back of this offense and take them to another level."

Brooks has an ADP of just 161.

Sleeper WR: Jalen McMillan, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the San Francisco 49ers in free agency, leaving the No. 1 receiver role in Tampa up for grabs. Most expect second-year wideout Emeka Egbuka to fill it, since he largely served as the Bucs' top option during the nine games that Evans missed.

However, fantasy managers may be overlooking the potential of third-year receiver Jalen McMillan. He missed the vast majority of last season with a neck injury but showed plenty of promise as a rookie and late last season.

McMillan racked up 461 yards and an impressive eight touchdowns in 2024. After returning from injury last year, he tallied 17 catches for 178 yards in four games.

This season, McMillan should move into a starting perimeter role opposite Egbuka, with Chris Godwin largely operating out of the slot. With an ADP of 185, McMillan isn't being valued as the high-upside flex option that he is.
