Bastian Schweinsteiger to Buy New Shirts for Fans Who Got Wrong Squad Number

New Manchester United star Bastian Schweinsteiger is quickly becoming a fan favourite at Old Trafford. 

The German international's latest act of goodwill will see him send new, signed shirts to 31 fans who bought his Manchester United shirt with the number 23 before he was officially assigned the number 31 last week.

The response came after United fan Florian wrote to Schweinsteiger on Facebook, explaining he had bought the German's shirt with the number 23 on it, as this was the number he wore during pre-season.

To his credit, Schweinsteiger replied with a generous offer:

What a pity, Florian. I will send you a signed jersey in order to help you out here. Thank you for your great support! Amongst all other fans, who send in a picture wearing one of my old jerseys, I will give away 31 Manchester United jerseys.

"

The former Bayern Munich ace's latest good deed comes just hours after he posted a tribute to a young fan on Instagram.
