Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson had no designs on denying Angel Reese at the rim when she got a block on the Atlanta Dream forward during the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game.

Wilson turned away Reese's shot attempt at the basket midway through the second quarter.

After the game, the four-time MVP said she was actually attempting to clear a path for Reese and jokingly apologized for the block.

"Angel was not supposed to do that," she told reporters. "I was trying to get out of the way. I do not like to block shots during All-Star Games because what am I doing? So yeah, no, I've never had that happen to me, and I'm so sorry."

Wilson was on the winning side as Team Spoon beat Team Coop 129-122. She played 14 minutes and finished with 12 points, three rebounds, one assist and the lone block.

A three-time Defensive Player of the Year and five-time leader in blocks, the 6'4" big is an imposing presence in the paint in the games that matter. It's obviously a much different story in the All-Star Game.
